Let's all love a bit more.

strangers at first glance
friends at first smile

i don't know you, but somehow we become friends with a hello, family with a story, dreading goodbyes with each laugh.

your life the opposite of mine.
meeting you made me love more.
love the unexpected hellos
the questions for directions
the interruptions for the time
breaking my silence with your life

no bible bashing, no Jesus naming, no church inviting, no religion smashing.
simple love.
love that talks, love that asks, love that smiles, love that steps over the line of strangers.

this is what we are meant to do.
befriend the neighbors that drink everynight, talk with the old man that gets his food from the bin, ask why a foreigner lives in my country.

love is asking out of the overwhelming need to be apart of the world of people. not out of the duty of our religion.

Jesus walked amongst the beggars, ate with the sinners. not out of his duty to save the world, but out of his heart of love..out of the need to ask how they were, what THEY were doing.

we all need to love a little bit more, don't draw the line at any point.
say hello.
smile.
handshake.
anything.
this world is desperate for love.

its desperate to be heard, to be welcomed in wholeheartedly, accepting the tattoos, the piercings, the wear and the tear, the sin that sits on us until we find love in the one who made love.

love is fighting for something thats out of our reach to change
its speaking up when everyone else won't hear your words
its standing up with shaking hands when the world won't look

its running towards what the world is fleeing
its accepting the wrongs and trying to make a right
love is perfect
love is justice
love is desperate to love
